T issue stalls House again

The Telangana issue continued to rock the State Assembly for the fourth day today as the TRS members chose to stall the proceedings demanding an adjournment motion. But the Speaker Nadendla Manohar turned it down in the process the House was adjourned for several times for a short break.

Soon as the House met members put forth a set of adjournment motions, which were rejected by the Chair giving rise to protests and slogans from the Opposition. During the recess the Speaker discussed the non-cooperation put up by the Opposition with the ministers D Sridharbabu, legislative affairs, Erasu Pratap Reddy, law, Khanna Laxminarayana, agriculture, and chief whip Gandra Venkataramana.

After the House re-assembled, Manohar gave an option to the Opposition members to cancel the question hour and take up a short debate on power. That did not again work with the angry TRS members, who resumed their protests sticking to their old demand.
